Exodus
A House Filled with Glory - 12/27/20
Exodus 40
God made us to behold His glory, and life is better when glory is given to God rather than taken for ourselves. When the ancient Israelites finally complete and raise the Tabernacle, the glory of the Lord God comes to dwell with his people in real time and space. Jesus Christ has come in the flesh to dwell with us, meaning that we can have a greater and fuller access to God through faith in Jesus.
Giving and Serving (Part 2) - 12/20/20
Exodus 37-39
Is it worth it for us to give sacrificially of our time and money for the sake of God’s glory? The short answer is always YES! The completion of the Tabernacle and its furnishings are the testimony of God’s love for his people and their trust in His goodness. Exodus 37-39 shows us the final steps in the building of the house for God and why it matters for us today.
Giving and Serving (Part 1) - 12/6/20

Our priorities in life can be clearly seen in how we give of our resources of time and money. How we use our resources in life will either exalt God for eternal purposes or be wasted on our temporary, fleeting desires. Exodus 35-36 teaches us how God invites us to sacrifice what we have to take hold of something better.

The Impatience of Idolatry - 11/22/2020
Exodus 32:1 - 33:6
Idolatry is real, and it starts within the hearts and minds of mankind. We make idols because we do not trust God, in hopes that whatever we create will give us lasting joy and satisfaction in life. In our impatience we attempt to replace God with something we can control, but that has never led to a deeper or more fulfilling faith. Exodus 32 teaches us what it means to truly trust God alone.
Made for Glory - 11/15/2020
Exodus 30-31
One aspect of life that connects every person to others is our pursuit in finding our purpose in life. While it may sound strange, God has saved sinners in Christ to be priests who declare the glory of God. Exodus 30-31 shows us how.
Kingdom People - 11/8/2020
Exodus 29
Our culture today is obsessed with self-identification, determining how the world knows us by our own terms. While this is certainly attractive to each of us, it is also short-sighted. CHrist Our Covering - 11/1/2020
Exodus 28
The Word of God is clear that the Lord expects his people to be set apart from the world in how we live and think. The Old Testament priests who served in the Tabernacle were given particular garments to wear which set them apart from the rest of the people. But how are the clothes of Old Testament priests related to Jesus and the New Testament church? Exodus 28 points us to Jesus and his fulfillment of all the priestly requirements, for our sake.
A Place to Belong - 10/25/2020
Exodus 25-27
We all find comfort and peace when we are at home, particularly when we know that home is where we belong. God chose to make his home among men, graciously dwelling with those He redeemed rather than requiring his people to somehow find their way to Him. The Tabernacle in Exodus 25-27 is a beautiful image of God making his home with people, ultimately pointing us to Jesus, who is now our meeting place with God.

Thankfully, Jesus shows us the way of truth and how we can be people of the Truth.

Exodus 20:7
What does the 3rd Commandment really mean? Taking the Lord’s Name in vain is a serious matter, but how can I know if I am breaking the command or not?
