What to Expect
Sunday Morning Schedule:

Arriving at FBC:
First Baptist Church
529 Convention Street
Baton Rouge, LA 70802
(Click for map & directions)
The main entrance to our building is on the corner of Convention Street and 6th Street, under the covered breezeway. On Sunday mornings, greeters will be at the door to welcome you and send you in the right direction. Once inside, the ladies at our Welcome Desk can help you find just the right Sunday School classes for you and your children. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask. Our church family is very friendly and is always willing to lend a hand.
Parking at FBC:
On Sunday mornings, there is no charge to park in the parking lots on our block, or in the lot directly across Convention Street from the church. If you are a visitor, we have guest parking spaces next to the Sanctuary just for you. We also have several Mobility Impaired parking spaces available. If you have any questions about parking, feel free to call the church office or ask one of the ushers at the door on Sunday morning.
What should I wear?
There's no dress code at FBC; come wearing what you're comfortable in. Some folks like to dress up a little on Sundays, and some like to come in jeans. Either way is great as long as you come with an open heart!
Where will my kids go?
We have age-appropriate Sunday School classes for everyone - from infants to senior adults. Classes for Infants through Pre-K are in the Nursery, which is located just outside the sanctuary - not far from the door when you come in from the parking lot. Classes for Kindergarten through 6th Grade are located on the 2nd floor of the building, and classes for youth (7th - 12th) are on the 3rd floor, along with the college and young adult classes.
During the worship hour, childcare is provided for infants and preschoolers through age 4. Children of all ages are welcome in our worship service. We love to see them learning to love and worship Jesus!
Should I bring anything?
If you've got a Bible, bring it along with you! Pastor Oren typically preaches from the English Standard Version (click here for more info about this excellent translation), but it's certainly not required. Bring whatever version you've got!
